How can I be a contractor for the military when I have no military experience?

I'm planning to go back to school and get my bachelors degrees but I would love to work as a contractor for the military. How do I get involved with no military experience?|||Visit http://www.usajobs.gov/ for a listing of civilian/contract jobs available with the government.|||Evidently your thinking contractors are all security contractors.

When 99% of them are not.

You cannot be a security contractor,

But there are contractors who are cooks, bakers, fork lift drivers, warehouse workers, laundry attendants

So there is no such job as " contractor "

You have to be more specific, what do you want to do ?|||There are lots of contractor positions available for people with no military experience. One of the most common is technical positions, like computer programming and server support.

The main thing to find out is what you want to do, not where you want to do it.|||99% of all military contractors perform normal 'civilian' type jobs. Mostly some sort of skilled trade involving maitenence and repair or administration. Unskilled and semiskilled labor is performed by TCNs (Third Country Nationals).|||I work with a lot of non-military types. Just apply to a contractor that has the right kind of contract with the US Gov that your BA can full fill

Vet-USAF / Contractor In Iraq|||Just like getting any other job, have a skill that is in demand.|||Try BAE or MANTECH.
