Military??

ok liek the arm has the split op program where you can go to school and you go to basic during your summer before your senior year. does the marines have something like that. which would u pick army or marines? and why|||The Split Option is only available through the Army National Guard.

Delayed Entry is the closest thing otehrwise, where you sign up, and then wait to begin training for up to a year.|||My daughter went on the split option program for the National Guards, I am not familiar with the regular Armys split option, or if they even have it. Maybe you should check with a recruiter.

As far as a decision between the Army or Marines. Thats a tough decision, and will probably end up being the most important decision you ever make in your life. Only you can decide whats the best for you, Army or the USMC I am partial to the Marines, for personal reasons. The Army is well respected by everyone but its a little like deciding what College to go to. Check out the offerings, your personal desires and your family support. Then without fully understanding what your about to do, do it and hang on. Boot Camp is as hard as everybody told you it is. And you will be asking the question "WHY" not the question of which is better, when your in boot camp. I attended my daughters Graduation from Army Boot and I respect the hard work and decication it requires. I being a former Marine, like to think the Marine Boot Camp, best, hardest, most displicined, etc. But the Army has its place and Army Boot Camp is difficult, hard, demanding and structured to teach displine and teamwork. Remeber, Marines win battles, the Army wins wars. The Marine Corps is a small military service compared to the size of the US Army. You should also have an idea of what you would like to do besides drive a Hummer befor you go into the military. That will posssibly help you decide between the Army and Marines. They are both tough, demanding and respected. You can also die for the choice you make. Keep in mind the sole purpose of the Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard. Make sure your making the right decision for the right reason. Its a long and rough road if you make a bad choice. Best of luck to you and I know you will do well
