Military ?

my husbend is thinking about joining not sure witch branch witch would be the best one for flighing because that is what he is thinking that he wants to do.|||marines or army as infantry or military police and if he wants to fly any branch it depensd on what he wants to fly he then can become an airline pilot once hes out|||Air Force for flying, although there are some Navy pilots, too. And all the services use helicopters.|||Not the airforce, they have a backlog of pilots. Either the navy or marines, it depends also on what he wants to fly.|||The Air force is great for technical jobs and job that will transfer to the civilian sector. The navy is also good. If he is in the Marines or Army he will be fighting.|||If combat is his intrest, the Army or Marines would be his choice. As far as employment goes, he could use his benifits to further his education.|||First off, I hope he's a better speller than you are or you'll have to send him to the National Guard.

Second, he wants to "fligh"... ummm... "fly"? Navy has more planes and pilots than the AF.

Third, he'll need a college education to be a pilot. He will also need 20/20 vision prior to entering service and there is NEVER a guarantee that he will make it through the training to become a pilot.

I'm not sure what nexteltom17's "been there done that" but it obviously wasn't a spelling B either, lol!|||I'mm soo gulad MadMaxx iz hear to0 remmind every1 how they speel.

The real world Army, he had a better chance of flying in the Army. The Army has many things to fly as well you can be a warrent officer and fly, and if you need glasses over time they let you have them, but not before.

If he had the "want" to fly and has bad eyes get the lazer work done on them before he gos in. DONT tell the military they will not check and even if they did you could say you forgot and nothing will happen, I know a guy this happend to.

The Marines have used outdated "everything" countless jarheads switch to the Army for the better equipment and flexability on jobs.

Word is that the Army will be getting A-10s tho used it will be the first fixed combat wing aircraft in the Army in a long time.

"My company allmost got taken out by an A-10 at FLW"

The Army is the best of ALL services anyhow...|||The best for getting some training to use afterwards is either the Air Force or Navy, they use technology that won't be seen by the civillian market for ten years!!!

The Army and Marines are more of a ground fighting force and although they have high tech jobs, it may be hard to get into them (not as many as the other two branches)|||OK - here we go again - US ARMY - intell jobs, anything in the Medical Field, Airborne Engineering , computer training, personnel specialist, legal, special forces (they get all the neat guns and stuff) however very rigorous training, all MOS's are trained well in boot camp and the elite have possibility of being asked to join better fighting positions.......Navy/Marines - Seals (extremely rigorous!) gunners, helicopter gunners, mortar men, computer training for using sophisticated missiles and guns. Never go just straight infantry, or have anything unsigned by the recruiter!!! GET IT IN WRITING! Congratulations on your husband wanting the be the Best he Can Be!!!!|||I say go army!!! My husband joined the army and the army has not only been good to him but the support we get is good for our family. So being that he is married I highly suggest the Army. They not only pay better but they take care of their own and then some no matter what. Good luck and my god's love be with you.

P.S. It really doesnt' matter which branch he joins, it's the fact that he joined at all that matters.|||The branch with the most technical jobs is the navy. The air force is about the same but advancement is tougher. All brances help. It really matters on how much you want your family to be together??
