What military path would best prepare someone interested in a post-military career of law enforcement?

I'm thinking of enlisting into the service and am wanting to pursue a post-military career in law enforcement. What branch of the military or specializations would be most beneficial to me?|||Listen, PD Departments like to see ANY sort of military experience. as a former member of the military who recently left to go to college; i can tell you right now from experience and people i know, those that did go the Military Police route, they tend to get more arrogant about their experience. When they do apply for PD or work in a PD Department, that arrogance is shown.

But that's just examples. Really a military police experience shouldn't do any harm. Just dont be a douche about it. I say, pick whatever job you want to do or feel you should be doing. If your ASVAB says you can get in the electronics field, and it interest you....DO IT. If you want to do a job in the Military you cant do outside, like say Infantry 11B. Do it. PD won't care, they'll just see you as a Military guy.

Maybe its best you pick a job your interested in most, that will open up possibilities. If your interested in being an MP do it then. But dont be an MP only because you want something nice on your resume.|||oh honey, please please please dont join. please listen: i was in the army last year, and you have no idea what they're trying to do. i know you think thats crazy cuz nobody has told you but they do some terrible terrible things, and you will NOT be your own person. jenny17070@yahoo.com

|||Probably Army Military Police...MOS 31B. You function as the "police" for the military so you'll gain experience and once you get out law enforcement agencies will be eager to hire you since you'll have good experience and a military background in general.
