MIlitary...?

Anyone in the Military? I just past 19 years in the Navy. Will be ready to retire in a few years. Currently in Kuwait. Waiting to go home.|||Hubby just passed 18 years in the Army. We're so looking forward to retirement. It's been a good life, but we're ready to move on. He's now a Drill Sergeant and it should take him to 6 months out from retirement. We just hope and pray that nothing comes up that forces us to stay longer. However, after this much time, he'll do his duty if he has to stay.

We want to find out what other people call "normal". We're ready!!

Congrats on your service. Good luck with retirement and your future. Please stay safe and get home!!|||I'm ex-military. I only did 4 years though. I did my four and got out. Miltary's not for everyone, and I'm in that category of not everyone. Congratulations on your retirement.|||Good luck in your few years in the military and start planning your retirement activities.|||Retired AF here.|||I'm retired Air Force, but I mixed my career with just under three years Air National Guard, ten years active Air Force, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, and another 18 years in the active Air Force Reserve.

Hang in there. Thanks for your service.|||Yes, here I am a proud soldier.

Spent 27 years in Army Corps of Engineers and retired as a satisfied person.

Nothing like serving your country in uniform.

Brave it out there and wish you a safe back-home journey soon.

Lucky, you are not in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Wish your brethren deployed there to be back home safe as well..|||Hey "Squid"!!

Keep your head down and come home dammit!

Just kidding about the "squid" remark, just stay alive and bring your @ss home.

I would be glad to shake your hand and say thank you, and I am proud of you.|||yep...served 16 months over in iraqi and i have only been in for 5 years and plan on reenlisting once again...hope that come home safe and sound...good luck on your retirement...|||I'm a USAF Veteran.....and thank you for your service!!!
